Dear Bhaktas

It is well known that temples start buzzing with Utsavams starting from the month of Aadi,so are a number of our festivals... starting from Krishna Jayanti to Diwali...These are my favourite months. There is festival in the air, good season for Jasmine and the chrysanthemums, that flood the market.
Our temple under whose name this blog has been created buzzes with action in this month. The Aadi Fridays are very well celebrated . The Utsava moothy, which we foldly call Sukravara Amman, is decorated and the Goddess is in all its splendour blesses its devotees , who come from far and wide. The deity goes round the temple premises thrice accompanied by good nadaswaram. At the conclusion of the 3rd round the Sri Padams, dance to the music of Notes(English notes)- this in the recent years has given way to our own folk number sung by the great Saint composer - Talapakka Annamacharya- Thantha Na thi... bala thantha na na... You must see it to experience this state of devotion, when you surrender your heart and soul to the Almighty... this is followed by Magudi and then followed by Unjal Seva and after this the deity offers darshan to devotees from the Alamkara Mandap.... This is a must be present occasion at the temple. Here are a couple of snaps taken on the first two weeks of Aadi velli at Sri Kamakala Kameswarar Temple this year(2008)
